Becoming:
a two-day workshop for body & voice
ein zwei-Tägiges Workshop zu Stimme & Körperbewegung
28. und 29. Juni. 2025. Berlin
with Esther Cowens and Ken Norris
Improvisation is crucial in allowing one to freely express themselves. It gives the opportunity to play, explore and discover the capabilities our body has to offer. It gives permission to be spontaneous and can help people from all walks of life to not only find an emotional connection to movement but to themselves. It is a free space to foster the flow of creativity without the pressure of perfection. It takes us one step closer to knowing ourselves.
BECOMING is an intensive, two-day workshop for all who are interested in the beautiful relationship between voice and body in improvisation. No previous experience in singing or dancing is required!
BECOMING builds on solid pedagogical and theoretical bases - Horton, Graham, Audiation, Speech-Level Singing, Music Learning Theory (Gordon), Alexander Technique, and original methods developed over 20-plus years of coaching.
BECOMING focuses on physical and vocal expression. We work genre- and style-free…. Each participant explores their personal range of movement, vocalisation and imagination as we bring these to the service of performance.
BECOMING is a refreshing and fun way to explore voice and movement together. It’s not a dance class or a singing lesson, but rather a pathway toward becoming freer in movement and in using the voice. We look forward to having you with us.
